EU Omnibus

Troubleshoot EU Omnibus Compliance

Fix missing badges, delayed reference prices, market mismatches, and label validation errors.

Last updated on 18 Aug, 2026

Use this checklist when the Omnibus badge is missing, delayed, or showing an unexpected value.

The badge is not visible

Check each requirement in order:

  1. Confirm the add-on is active. Open EU Compliance and check that the compliance status is Active.

  2. Grant Markets permission. If the page shows Markets permission required, select Update permissions and approve access.

  3. Check the warm-up progress. A new activation needs at least seven distinct days of price history for an enabled market. The Building your price history banner shows the current progress.

  4. Check your market scope. EU only requires an active Shopify Market containing EU countries. World tracks every active Shopify Market. Save after changing the scope.

  5. Add and save the theme block. Add Omnibus reference price to every product template that should display the badge, then save the published theme.

  6. Turn on badge visibility. Enable Show Omnibus badge on storefront in EU Compliance and save.

  7. Check the selected variant. Its compare-at price must be higher than its current price, and the current price must be at or below the stored reference price.

  8. Test the correct country and currency. The shopper’s country and presentment currency must match an eligible Shopify Market reference.

The product has a discount code, but no badge

The badge responds to product and variant price reductions represented by Shopify’s price and compare-at price fields. Cart-level or order-level discount codes do not change compare-at price and therefore do not trigger the badge.

The badge is visible for one variant but not another

Eligibility is calculated per variant, market, and currency. A product variant may remain hidden when:

  • It has fewer than seven recorded history days.

  • It is not currently discounted.

  • Its current price is above the stored lowest reference price.

  • The selected market or currency has no eligible reference for that variant.

Switch between variants on the product page to check each one separately.

The reference price has not updated

GetSale normally captures prices approximately every six hours. A recent price or market change may not be reflected until the next completed snapshot.

  1. Open EU Compliance.

  2. Expand Status details.

  3. Check Last snapshot poll and Tracked variants.

If the last snapshot is unexpectedly old or the metrics cannot be loaded after retrying, contact GetSale support from the app.

The badge text will not save

The label must be 120 characters or fewer and include both {price} and {days} exactly once. Keep the placeholder spelling and braces unchanged.

The badge is styled correctly in GetSale but looks misplaced

GetSale controls the badge’s text, colours, size, and horizontal alignment. The Shopify theme controls its position and surrounding spacing. Move the Omnibus reference price block within the product template, or place it in another section that accepts app blocks.

What happens when the add-on is disabled?

  • The storefront badge is hidden.

  • Protected Omnibus reference-price metafields are cleared from variants.

  • Your GetSale subscription returns to its base price when applicable.

  • Snapshot history is retained for up to 90 days.

If you re-enable within the retention period, existing history can be used again. After a longer gap, the badge may need about seven days of new history before it returns.
